Cyber bullying is a cyber harassment, it’s an act of teasing which takes place through internet or being online using smartphones tabs,I-pads and laptops. Social networking sites like what’s app, messenger, snap chat etc. are playing harmful role at alarming rate. It is proving to be violent for teens and young people as its breaking all the rules of trust and respect. Cyber Bullying Facts isa mental assault causing damage to the power of self-consciousness, self-confidence and self-respect.

Cyber bullying results are heart breaking especially among teenagers and young people they easily gets targeted by the bullies. Whether it’s a real life bullying or cyber bullying one feels harassed, tormented,oppressed, alone and embarrassed which effects emotionally and physically.

Cyber bullying has been invading the lives continuously and vigorously leading to isolation, depression, suicidal thoughts. Young children and teenagers are the main victims of this crime they think it’s an inescapable trap but the local and the federal government is looking into the matter seriously.

  • Approximately 87% students face cyber bullying through their own smart phones which is the most common interactive medium.
  • 68% of teenagers goes through online teasing and easily gets deceived as online bullying is an easier mode than bullying in personal
  • 90% teens experience bullying every year and only very few reports legally.
  • Among 10 victims of cyber bullying only 1 informs their parents or trusted adults about the assault and harassment faced online.
  • Girls are twice in number than boys to be victim of cyber bullying
  • 30% of children develops suicidal thought and 10% children attempted suicide due to cyber bullying.
  • Parents and educators need to focus on prevalence of cyber bullying. Devastating fact is that lack of awareness has already sown the seeds of digital aggression and made it an easier mode of harassment.
  • According to the National Society for the prevention of cruelty 1599 children took a positive step in 2011-2012and called children helplines  to report cyber bullying

In past few years a lot has changed,spreading positivity nationwide has been encouraged which has shown little improvement in cyber bullying facts and saved lives of many youngsters and teens.

Teachers, educators, adults and parents must educate children, teenagers and youngsters to explore and combat against cyber bullying .Remember if no initiatives are taken be the leader and take charge.
